AskJeeves purchased Teoma in September of 2001. Teoma became the power behind the Ask Jeeves search. Ask/Teoma no longer offers any method of submitting a site. Their crawler does make its rounds, though. Being in DMOZ can help speed up the process of getting into Ask.
Any of you who already submitted your site to Ask before they ceased accepting new submissions can log into your accounts here -- but you cannot create a new account anymore.
In 2006, Ask.com officially removed the butler, Jeeves and stopped having Teoma as a separate search website.
There does not appear to be any free way to directly add your site to the index at Ask.com at the moment.
You can also get into Ask through AJInteractive, their pay per click service. More info about this is on our pay-per-clickthrough page.
To see if your site is currently in Ask, do a search there for your full URL, including the http part - like this:
http://www.wordsinarow.com/teoma.html
Substitute your own URL, of course.
