What does "DoubleClick" mean?

DoubleClick:

DoubleClick was a company that provided advertisement serving services from 1995 to 2008, when it was bought by Google. Its services are now called DoubleClick Digital Marketing Manager and DoubleClick forms the basis for Google's ad serving platform. More or less equivalent now to "Google Marketing Platform". Not to be confused with "Double-Click," which is the action of a mouse clicking twice on something in rapid succession (introduced to the world as part of Apple's Lisa project, back in the day).
