Global Trade Item Numbers [GTIN] are unique identifying numbers used for products being sold on Google. A GTIN is simply a unique identifying number. Google says that in North America, a UPC (Universal Product Code), such as the bar code on an item for sale is a GTIN suitable for use in Google Shopping. For books, an ISBN will serve as the GTIN when registering products for sale through Google.
