Jedi Blue is essentially a back room deal reached over a span of years between Google and Facebook, starting when Google bought DoubleClick in 2007, and finishing up in 2018 when Facebook agreed it would not challenge Google's advertising business; this was in exchange for Google giving Facebook extremely preferential treatment and special low prices when bidding for advertising through Google. It is a scandal (exposed by the Wall Street Journal and later the New York Times); Jedi Blue essentially created a "duopoly" (a monopoly shared between two parties).
