What does "Penguin" mean?

Penguin:

Google's Penguin algorithm (launched in 2012) targeted web spam and linking schemes that artifically raised some websites in Google's SERPs. It created a major change in the way SEO was accomplished thereafter and got rid of a lot of nonsense.
