Sales Funnel:: A Sales Funnel is an intentionally crafted short path that prospects travel on your website, that turns them into customers. It is the exact path you want people to travel through your website that has the highest likelihood of turning them into customers. A typical example starts with a landing page (also called a "squeeze" page), then the next page the prospect goes to is a sales page selling the product, then the order page, then the "thank you" page. When creating a sales funnel you want to put visitors on that path and then don't distract them away from it or let them go anywhere else on your website.
