What does "URL" mean?

URL:
The Uniform Resource Locator [URL] is the address of a file (such as a web page or image) called over the internet. Usually starts with the familiar https://www........... It gives the name of the file and how one gets to that particular file through the internet.

Compares to URI, which is just the name of the file or resource. It doesn't include how you get there.

Example of a URL is the address of the logo image below:

The URL of that image is: https://www.wordsinarow.com/img/wing1-new.jpg
